LFI Farmers Market

A local community program that conducts and organizes Revelstoke’s farmers markets to promote and encourage shopping local.

We are a local community program that conducts and organizes Revelstoke’s farmers markets. We desire to promote shopping local because we believe this is one of the most effective ways to support sustainability. This is because shopping local can reduce our carbon footprint, encourage local economy, promote sustainable farming practices, reduces waste (due to less packaging and fewer transportation-related losses), and encourages biodiversity (usually local farmers often grow wider variety of crops than industrial farms).
We believe that our promotion of shopping local supports sustainability and promotes a healthier, more resilient community.
